Return and Refund Policy

Introduction

Hackathon NGO is a non-profit organization dedicated to organizing hackathons, educational programs, and technology events. This Return and Refund Policy outlines our approach to refunds for event registrations, donations, and other paid services. We strive to be fair and transparent while maintaining the financial sustainability of our mission.

Donation Refunds

As a non-profit organization, donations made to Hackathon NGO are generally considered final and non-refundable. This is a standard practice among charitable organizations, as donations are immediately directed toward our mission and programs.

However, we may consider refund requests in the following exceptional circumstances:

• Duplicate donations made in error (technical issues or accidental multiple submissions)
• Incorrect donation amount due to processing error
• Donations made fraudulently without the donor's consent
• Cases where required by Armenian law or banking regulations

If you believe your situation qualifies for a refund under these exceptions, please contact us at hackathon.ngo@gmail.com within 14 days of the donation date with documentation supporting your claim.

Refund Processing

Once a refund request is approved, it will be processed within 5-10 business days. The actual time for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your financial institution.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the transaction. If the original payment method is no longer available, we will work with you to find an alternative solution.

All refunds are processed in Armenian Dram (AMD). If you paid in a different currency, the refund amount may vary slightly due to exchange rate fluctuations.

Please note that bank processing fees are non-refundable and may be deducted from the refund amount.

Non-Refundable Services

The following items are non-refundable under any circumstances:

• Administrative or processing fees charged by payment processors or banks
• Promotional materials, t-shirts, or other physical items already distributed
• Donations designated for specific projects that have already been allocated

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please send an email to hackathon.ngo@gmail.com with the subject line "Refund Request".

Include the following information in your email:

• Your full name, as listed on the registration or donation receipt
• Event name or program title (if applicable)
• Registration or donation date
• Transaction ID or confirmation number
• Original payment method (last 4 digits of card or payment service used)
• Reason for refund request
• Supporting documentation (if applicable)

We will review your request and respond within 3-5 business days. If approved, the refund will be processed according to the timeline outlined above.

Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns about a refund decision, please contact us at hackathon.ngo@gmail.com. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and promptly. We will work with you to find a mutually acceptable solution. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be escalated in accordance with Armenian law.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Return and Refund Policy at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting on our website. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. For significant changes, we will provide advance notice via email or website announcement.
