Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the services provided by Hackathon NGO ("we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.
About Our Organization
Hackathon NGO is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to organizing hackathons, promoting innovation, and supporting technology education and development. We provide platforms, resources, and opportunities for developers, entrepreneurs, and innovators to collaborate and create solutions.
Services Provided
We provide the following services:
- Organization and hosting of hackathon events
- Educational resources and workshops
- Networking opportunities for participants
- Project showcasing and presentation platforms
- Mentorship and guidance programs
- Access to our online platform and community
User Responsibilities
As a user of our services, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information when registering
- Respect intellectual property rights of others
- Conduct yourself professionally and respectfully during events
- Follow our code of conduct and community guidelines
- Not engage in any illegal or harmful activities
- Respect the privacy and safety of other participants
Intellectual Property
Participants retain ownership of their intellectual property created during hackathons. However, by participating, you grant us a non-exclusive license to showcase your work for promotional and educational purposes. We respect and protect the intellectual property rights of all participants.
Event Participation
Participation in our events is subject to availability and acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse participation to individuals who violate our terms of service or community guidelines. Event schedules and formats may change, and we will communicate any changes in advance.
Donations and Financial Contributions
Donations to Hackathon NGO are voluntary and help support our mission. All donations are non-refundable unless required by law. We are committed to using donations transparently and efficiently to advance our mission. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs your use of our services, to understand our practices regarding the collection and use of your personal information.
Limitation of Liability
Hackathon NGO shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your participation in our events or use of our services.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will endeavor to provide at least 30 days' notice (e.g., via email or site notice) before new terms take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Armenia. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Services shall be brought exclusively in the competent courts of Yerevan, Armenia. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be a waiver of such right or provision.
Definitions
- Services: The website at https://hackathon.ngo/ and any events, programs, or platforms operated by Hackathon NGO.
- User: Any individual or entity accessing or using the Services.
- Participant: A User who registers for or attends our events.
- Content: Any text, code, images, videos, or other materials submitted or created by Users.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to participate in on-site events. Individuals aged 16–17 may participate with verifiable parental or guardian consent. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.
Accounts and Registration
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
User Content and Licenses
Participants retain ownership of their Content. To operate and promote our mission, you grant Hackathon NGO a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, and publicly display your Content in connection with the Services and event promotion. This license may be revoked by written notice where legally permissible.
Open-source code submissions remain under their respective licenses; you are responsible for complying with any third-party license terms.
Prohibited Conduct
- Violating any applicable law or the rights of others
- Submitting malicious code, engaging in unauthorized access, or disrupting the Services
- Harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior
- Infringing intellectual property or privacy rights
- Misrepresenting your identity or affiliation
Code of Conduct
We are committed to a safe, inclusive environment. Treat all participants, mentors, judges, and organizers with respect. We may remove any person whose behavior violates these Terms or our community guidelines.
Event Safety and Assumption of Risk
Participation in events may involve inherent risks (for example, long hours, equipment use, or travel). You agree to assume these risks and to follow all instructions and safety rules. If you have health concerns, please consult a professional before participating.
Media Release
By attending our events, you consent to being photographed or recorded and to Hackathon NGO using your likeness for legitimate organizational purposes. If you prefer not to be recorded, please inform an organizer on site; we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate you.
Prizes and Judging
Where applicable, judges' decisions are final. Prizes are non-transferable and may be subject to eligibility checks or tax reporting requirements under Armenian law.
Fees and Payments
Some activities may require registration fees. Prices are typically listed in Armenian dram (AMD) unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any bank or exchange fees.
Third-Party Services
Our Services may integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., ticketing, payment, collaboration). Your use of those services is subject to their terms and privacy policies.
Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Hackathon NGO and its organizers from and against any claims arising from your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.
Miscellaneous
- Severability: If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Hackathon NGO regarding the Services and supersede prior understandings.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
